Animation Sequences for Discovery Channel Documentary
For this project, large areas of the globe were generated in 3D to be used as assets for various scenes. From the Himalayas and the Bay of Bengal in Asia, to the tributaries of the Zambezi River in Africa, each area posed its own unique challenges.
The Sunderbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world, straddling Bangladesh and Western India. Their appearance in the animation sequences was crucial to the look of the project and we rendered millions of individual trees to give the shots a realistic authenticity.
